Two bamboo arches welcome visitors to this year's Suman Festival and Aurora Day
Celebration. Aurora Day is the only fiesta event in Aurora where nobody prepares foods at
their homes. It's an all Capitol Compound and Quezon Highway event. Maybe because we
celebrate it in honor of a non-saint personality.

A closer look at the center of the arches shows that there's not much politics involved in
this year's celebration. Paradise of the Pacific indeed.

Half of the parade I was at the ANSHS compound waiting for Noli De Castro to arrive. Most
of the officilas were also there. I got tired of waiting and walked to the highway to
catch the last half of the parade. Kabayan arrived almost too late. He commuted to catch
up with the street dancers.

I think these are the MCC kids.

Street Dancing winners from San Luis doing their thing on an actual street.

One of the Ms. Aurora contestants. I'm sure she's not the winner.

The float of this year's Ms. Aurora.

Ms. San Luis in an all sabutan affair. Notice the earings... also made of sabutan.

Miss Aurora... from Dingalan.... again.

Miss Maria Aurora in a basket inspired float. There's no Baler float, the candidate
decided to do her usual majorette gig with the BNHS Band.

Ms. Dinalungan (until Grade Six). The design is what i call "elephant husk".

The kids from my alma mater, Suklayin Elementary School.
