“A SENIOR prosecutor who was relieved for ordering the dismissal of a murder charge filed against the alleged mastermind in the killing of Starline Times Recorder publisher Philip Agustin has denied being biased, insisting that the evidence against the accused was weak.

Special Prosecutor Emmanuel Y. Velasco, a former journalist himself, said he even proposed to Justice Secretary Raul Gonzalez a further investigation of the case to establish the “possible complicity” of Dingalan, Aurora, Mayor Jaime Ylarde in Agustin’s killing.”
